Building trust and relationships for development work

In 2022, ADP was selected from seven international providers to facilitate a two-day retreat for the Health Office at USAID in Ghana.

The scope of work was to help teams to build trust, develop relationships, and understand each other’s different approaches to working together. This was particularly important as the office included people from various cultural backgrounds who had common work goals. In addition, the team had been working remotely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, so empathy and understanding was an essential need to getting things done well.

ADP supported 30 professionals on the USAID team from a range of backgrounds including medically trained doctors, public and private health care professionals, and nutritional and supply chair experts. They all conducted a personality profile, identified individual and then collective team strengths, and observed “watch out” areas for each other.

We also created and shaped the overall mission charter so everyone was clear on their accountabilities.

ADP works with international organizations to boost their teams’ development. Learn more about our personality assessments and bespoke HR services, or contact us here.
